Abstract

Decision makers are increasingly concerned about their supply chain resilience that that can efficiently preact and react to unexpected accidents/ disruptions due to unexpected incidents. On the other hand, decision makers are also concerned about the environmentalism aiming to cope with increasing interest in the green development. Effective supplier selection and order allocation (SS/OA) represents one of the most main activity in supply chain management. Hence, it is a challenge for decision makers to select the best suppliers with respect to traditional economic and resilience criteria to improve their supply chain resilience without lacking the green responsibilities and vice versa. To triumph over this challenge, this study presents a development of a hybrid methodology to obtain a SS/OA incorporating traditional economic, green and resilience pillars (Gresilient). The fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) was applied for determining the relative weight of gresilient pillars (i.e., traditional, green and resilience), then suppliers vis-à-vis gresilient pillars were evaluated and ranked by using the fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS). The obtained weights were integrated into a developed multi-objective programming model (MOPM) to solve the order allocation problem towards Minimization of related cost and environmental impact and maximization of value of resilience purchasing. The ε-constraint method was used to obtain Pareto solutions based on the developed MOPM, then the final Pareto solution was selected by using TOPSIS. The applicability of the developed methodology was proved through a real case study. This study contributes to the knowledge in developing a novel supplier selection and order allocation methodology with traditional, green and resilience considerations.
