Abstract

A combination of luminescence and picosecond- and nanosecond-time-scale time-resolved IR studies has been used to eludicate the photophysical behavior of the dyad RuLRe, in which a combination of (i) different conformations of the flexible bridging ligand and (ii) different 3MLCT states on the RuII acceptor leads to the presence of several different Re → Ru energy-transfer rates being identified.
